Paul Miles Barrett

Paul Miles Barrett, 62, of Middletown, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 30, 2023 at his home.

He was born Aug. 15, 1960 in Greenfield, the son of the late Horace Mather Barrett and Betty Esther (Peelle) Barrett.

Paul was a 1978 graduate of Greenfield McClain High School. He went on to earn his associate degree from Southern State Community College, and he also attended Wright State University. As a young man, he attended the Quakers Church, and in his later years, he became a member of the Rainsboro United Methodist Church. He enjoyed swimming, hiking, genealogy, mushroom hunting and spending time with his family and friends.

Paul is survived by his two sons, Brandon (Timothy) Kendell-Barrett of Centerville and Jonathon (Carrie) Barrett of Middletown; a granddaughter, Aria Barham; an uncle, David (Louise) Peelle of Ann Arbor, Mich.; two cousins, Jean (Andrew) Peelle Getter of Hendersonville, Tenn. and Ellie Peelle Teaford of Culloden, W.Va.; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kandy Barrett, on Aug. 25, 2019; and a brother, David Mather Barrett.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Funeral services will take place May 4 at 7 p.m. following visitation at the Turner & Son Funeral Home. Graveside service will take place Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 10 a.m. in the Roads Cemetery.
