Patsy Jean Montgomery, 69, of Bainbridge, passed away Aug. 20, 2016.
She was born March 2, 1947 in Pike County, the daughter of the late Beryl and Opal (Penwell) Jenkins.
Patsy was a 1965 graduate of Western High School in Latham and a 34-year employee of Johnson Controls in Greenfield. Patsy was also an active member in the Bainbridge Senior Citizens where she was serving as president, and she loved every minute of it and the people she served with.
Patsy is survived by her children, son Eric (Debbie) Montgomery and daughter Vedarena (Todd) Elliott, both of Bainbridge; her grandchildren, Jeff Elliott of Greenfield, Aaron (Brittany) Elliott of Frankfort and Liberty (Duane) Cook of Windsor, Va.; great-grandchildren, Elaina Elliott and Dylan and Myiah Cook; sisters, Susie (Richard) Heppard and Barbara (Fred) Hougland of Greenfield; brothers, John Jenkins of Cynthiana and Homer Jenkins of Bainbridge; many loving nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; and four lifelong friends, Carol Young, Marsha Grubb,
Diane Keaton and Robin Taylor.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bill and Sonny Jenkins.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016 at the Bainbridge United Methodist Church with Mike Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Cynthiana Cemetery. Friends may visit with Patsy’s family from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Patsy's favorite organizations: Bainbridge Senior Citizens, PO Box 274 or the Bainbridge Historical Society, PO Box 424.
