Patricia L. Newman

Patricia Ann Newman, 86, of Hillsboro, passed away peacefully, Friday, Jan. 17, 2025 at her home.

She was born on July 4, 1938 in Hillsboro, the daughter of the late Warren Hart and Daisey (Caplinger) Hart.

Patricia was a librarian in Laurel, Md. for over 25 years before she and her husband moved back to Ohio. She was a member of the Union Church of Christ in Taylorsville, a member of the Maryland Library Association, a member of the North American M.G.A Register, as well as the Model A Ford Club of America. Patricia's passion for life was matched by her love for travel. She explored the globe, taking countless journeys with her devoted husband, Richard. England held a special place in Patricia's heart and provided the backdrop for some of her most treasured memories. She loved all her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and she will be greatly missed.

Patricia is survived by two nephews, Allen Dale (Judy) Jordan of Hillsboro and David (Annette) Jordan of Lynchburg; great-nephews and great-niece, Robbie Jordan, Davy Jordan and Brittni Hudgins; special care givers, Valerie Lancaster, Stephanie Lancaster, Cynthia Miller, Ashley Miller and several great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard W. Newman, on March 25, 2023; a sister, Rose Anna Frances Jordan; and a nephew, Danny Jordan.
