Patricia Ann “Pat” Cook, 79, of Bainbridge, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at home, surrounded by her family.

She was born Sept. 29, 1936, in Lafayette, Ind. to the late Ray & Viola Sigman Trapp.

She was raised in Lafayette, Ind. and enjoyed being in a family of 16 children. Pat worked for the Dean of the Graduate Program at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Ind. before marrying her husband Orville and raising their family in Monticello, Ind., Britton, Mich. and Bainbridge, Ohio. During their years in Michigan, Pat volunteered her time alongside Orville in the Michigan Angus Association. She was founding President of the Michigan Angus Auxiliary, which is still active today. She often traveled as a National Secretary Judge for the Angus cattle industry. She also enjoyed her time as 4-H Adviser, PTO President, and Church Youth Group Counselor and Choir Leader. In Ohio, Pat was Director of Social Services at Greenfield Area Medical Center for several years, as well as owned and operated Pat's Primitives Antique Shop at her home. Pat loved to sing and enjoyed many years in Sweet Adelines, first in Highland Hills Chorus and then Seven Hills Chorus in Cincinnati.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville, on Feb. 27, 2016 and son, Scott, on Oct. 8, 1982. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Bud, Dick, Orville, Pint, Jackie, Roger, Danny and Jim Trapp; sisters, Thelma Felix, Mary Hollis, Alberta Brouhard, Dorothy Miller, Verna Mae Casad and Judy Stine.

She is survived by her children, Dennis “Jake” Cook (Karen Krueger Cook), Vicki Stafford (Rick) and Kendra Cook (Greg Brightman); grandchildren, Ashley, Marissa, Matthew, Max, Morgan, Kendra, Mick and Jake; and great-grandchildren, Addison, Mackenzie, Drew, Ethan, Evan, Emily, Lillianna, Harper, Zen, Griffin, Bryn, Aspen and Brixton. She is also survived by her sister, Jane (Bud) Leill of Lafayette, Ind./Ormond Beach, Fla.

Visitation will be Friday, April 1, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. at the Bainbridge United Methodist Church. Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the Bainbridge United Methodist Church with Pastors Jay Fabin and Mary Hollis officiating. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jerry Hollis, Buck Felix, Kenny Miller, Bill Miller, Mick Well and Jake Well. Honorary pallbearers are Ki & Silas Pulliam.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Adena Hospice Foundation, 9 S. Paint St., Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.
