Pamela S. Basford, 66, of Hillsboro, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022 at the VITAS Inpatient Hospice Unit at the Drake Center in Cincinnati.
She was born Oct. 27, 1956 in Georgetown, the daughter of the late Sara (Naylor) Stroup and Leroy Stroup.
On Feb. 17, 1978, Pam was united in marriage to Roger D. Basford in Mowrystown, and together they had three children.
Pam was a 1974 graduate of Whiteoak High School. After graduation, she worked many years at Robertshaw in Hillsboro and worked nearly 20 years at Airborne Express in Wilmington. Pam enjoyed traveling, cruises, bingo and time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Jason (Julia) Basford, Casey (Katie) Basford and Zachary (Paige) Basford; six grandchildren, Emerie, Nora, Waylon, Eliza, Stella and Henry Basford; her sister and brother-in-law, Donna (Stroup) and Harry Delano Morgan; brother-in-law and sister-in law, James and Becky Basford; mother-in-law, Dolores Basford; and two nieces and three nephews.
In addition to her parents, Pam was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Willard Malachi Basford; daughter-in-law, Amanda (Germann) Basford; and granddaughter, Annabelle Rose Basford.
Visitation will be held for friends and family Friday, Nov. 11, 2022 from 5-8 p.m. at the Edgington Funeral Home in Mowrystown. Funeral services will be held at the Living Springs Community Church in Mowrystown on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Kraig Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Mowrystown Cemetery.
