Ollie Jenkins, 76, of Hillsboro, the Carmel community, passed away Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017 at his home.
He was born June 13, 1941 in Morgan County, Ky., the son of the late Joe and Dexter Cantrell Jenkins.
Mr. Jenkins had worked in the construction industry.
He is survived by four children, Bonnie Trimble of Hillsboro, Myrtle Jenkins of Chillicothe, John (Felicia) Jenkins and Ollie Jr. (Tonya) Jenkins of Kentucky; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four brothers, Darly (Omy) Jenkins of Piqua, Clyde Jenkins, Bill (Jonie) Jenkins and Cordy (Edwina) Jenkins of Kentucky; three sisters, Peggy Williams of Piqua, Bonnie (Alic) Cantrell and Dixie Daniels of Kentucky; two daughters-in-law, Rosemary Jenkins of Hillsboro and Annie Jenkins of Lynchburg; two sons-in-law, Gene Coleman of Columbus and Charles Thompson of Chillicothe; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel “Nora” Jenkins on Nov. 8, 2011; three sons, Kenneth, Danny and Donnie Jenkins; three daughters, Dixie Thompson, Imogene Bailey and Kathleen Coleman; one brother, Troy Jenkins; and one son-in-law, Ron Bailey.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Pastor David Stulley will officiate. Burial will follow in the Carmel Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from noon-2 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home.
