Nelson Reveal, 73, of Martinsville, passed away Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017 at his home.
He was born May 16, 1943 in Martinsville, the son of the late Harley and Lucille (Smith) Reveal.
He was a member of the Blanchester First Church of God. He loved antique tractors and shows, trips to Amish country and enjoyed riding his golf cart everywhere he wanted to go. He had worked at Fulflo Specialist in Blanchester for 25 years and retired in 2005 from American Tool in Wilmington. He had also operated Reveal Pallets for several years.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Bertha (Tucker) Reveal, whom he married on Oct. 15, 1994 in Wilmington. He is also survived by five children, David (Brenda) Reveal of West Union, Randy (Dorothy) Reveal of Lynchburg, Bill (Lisa) Reveal of Martinsville, Robie (Gary) Creek of Wilmington and Blanche Sanderson of Wilmington; 22 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; a brother, Harley Jr. (Drue) Reveal of Aberdeen; and a special nephew, Don (Anita Bach) Temple of Martinsville, as well as other nephews and nieces.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, James Sanderson; a daughter, Carla Sanderson; five grandsons; and a sister, Josephine Temple.
The funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Pastor Kevin Beck will officiate. Burial will follow in the Barnes Cemetery in Fairview. Visitation will take place from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017 at the funeral home in Lynchburg.
