Mike Howard Worthington, 76, of Hillsboro, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019.
He was born in Springfield on July 10, 1942, the son of the late Willis and Hazel (Bartley) Worthington.
Mike served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a lifelong member of the Amvets #61.
Mike is survived by his wife, Debbie (Adams) Worthington, whom he married Aug. 17, 1989; two sons, Scott Adams of Lebanon and Mark Adams of Hillsboro; daughter, Melissa Moreland of Miamisburg; six grandsons; six granddaughters; two great-granddaughters and one great-grandson due in August; three brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; a best friend/brother, Earl Isaacs of Waynesville; a tribe of nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Neal Worthington; and two brothers, William “Billy” and Steve Worthington.
Funeral services will be 6 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2019 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Services will conclude with the Highland County Honor Guard performing military rites.
