Michael Wayne Lee

Michael Wayne Lee, 66, of New Vienna, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2025 at Bethesda North Hospital, surrounded by his family. 

He was born July 13, 1958, in Englewood, Calif., the son of the late Walter Lee and Betty (Wykes) Lee. 

Michael worked as a machinist for 29 years for Hitachi Astemo, formerly known as Showa America. He was an outdoorsman and craftsman, spending countless hours in his woodworking shop and working in his yard. Michael also enjoyed reading and watching Westerns. Michael found joy in spending precious moments with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. 

Michael is survived by his wife of 34 years, Dale Lee of New Vienna; four children, Stephanie Adams of Winfield, Kan., Scott (Krystal) Lee of Caldwell, Kan., JD (Jessy) Adams of Hillsboro and Lacey Lee of Wilmington; 15 grandchildren, JP Adams, Dilyn Volavka, Dakota Volavka, Dru Volavka, Treyce Muns, Kolbe Muns, Skylar Muns, Wolfram Adams, Ryan Adams, Francisco Gonzalez, Xavier Gonzalez, Carlos Gonzalez, Miguel Gonzalez, Payton Lee and Koleijah Lee-Gonzalez; two great-granddaughters, Oaklynn Adams and A’Zaria Frisco; two sisters, Gayla Hudson of Caldwell, Kan., Brenda (Mike) Sparks of Caldwell, Kan.; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Antoniette Adams.
