Melvin Allen Wagner, 78, of Hillsboro, passed away Monday, Jan. 30, 2017 at Hospice of Hope Inpatient Center in Seaman.
He was born May 1, 1938, in Bethel, the son of the late Delmar and Dorothy (Moore) Wagner.
He was a member of the Hillsboro FOE Aerie 1161 and an associate member of the Hillsboro AmVets Post 61.
He is survived by his fiancé, Ruth Abrams; seven children, Sharon, Janet, Melinda, Sandra, Robert, Danny and Gary; a step-daughter, Theresa Jones; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a brother, Rodney Wagner.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Lee Wagner; and a son, Roger.
To celebrate Melvin’s life, the family will receive friends from 3-6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12 at the AmVets Post 61, 11541 N. Shore Drive, Hillsboro.
