Maxine Frost, 95, of Hillsboro, passed away Friday, Feb. 25, 2022 at her home with family by her side.
She was born Jan. 8, 1927 in Russell Station to Arnold and Sara Smith Griffith.
She married Homer Edward Frost on Sept. 5, 1942. She and Homer traveled life's pathway together for more than 68 years. Born to this union were four children, Barbara (Charlie) Creed, Darryl Frost, Ron Frost and Penny (Tim) McGinnis.
Maxine loved Jesus and adored her family. Much of her life was spent caring for and loving her family. She spent many years as a homemaker, owned her own home décor and antique business and worked in the church. A talented seamstress and artist, her creative endeavors blessed her family and friends. She loved her Sunday school class at Allensburg Church of Christ, along with her many friends.
Called Ma by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she could never get enough time with her kiddos. She loved her family with all her heart and enjoyed visits, especially on her porch.
She is survived by her children; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brothers, Lynn (Linda) Griffith and Doug (Sandy) Griffith; special nephew Russell (Cheryl) Creed; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer; her parents; her brother, Floyd; her sister, Peggy; and dear friend, John Otey.
A celebration of life will take place Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 2 p.m. at the Allensburg Church of Christ with James Hatch officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Fayette County, 222 North Oakland Avenue, Washington C.H., Ohio 43160.
The family thanks Hospice of Fayette County and the doctors and nurses who took care of Mom. Special thanks to Beverly Williams for the friendship and help she gave. Thank you to the Turner & Son Funeral Home for serving the family. Thanks to all of our friends and family who encircled Mom with thoughts and prayers and supported us at this difficult time.
