Mary Margaret Armstrong, 90, of Hillsboro, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017 at the Highland District Hospital.
She was born in Highland County on Oct. 18, 1927, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Eva (Rhoads) Fenner.
Mary was a member of the Mt. Olive Church of Christ.
Mary is survived by her two daughters, JoAnn Sexton of Hillsboro and Linda (Jim) Gorman of Hillsboro; two grandchildren, Debra (Tony) Fryman of Hillsboro and Rob Sexton of Hillsboro; three great-grandchildren, Emily, Callie and Jordan Fryman; two honorary great-grandsons, Alex Foster and Drew Stout; two brothers, Hugh (Sharon) Fenner of Hillsboro and Fred (Judy) Fenner of Hillsboro; two sisters, Jane Luman of Hillsboro and Jeannette Knauff of Hillsboro; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Armstrong; granddaughter, Tamera Sue Sexton; two sisters, Betty Newman and Carmen Crouse; two brothers, Lloyd “Bud” Fenner and Ray Fenner; and special son-in-law, Tom Sexton.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the New Market Cemetery.
Friends may call from noon until time of service Sunday at the Thompson Funeral Home.
