Mary Lou Sprinkle, 80, of Highland, passed away early Friday morning, Sept. 15, 2017 at Court House Manor in Washington Court House.
She was born Jan. 13, 1937 in South Salem, the daughter of the late Ernest Cummings and Grace Harkins Cummings.
Mary was a member of Leesburg Friends Church and the United Society of Friends Women (USFW). She was a longtime school bus driver for the Fairfield Local School District.
She is survived by one daughter, Penny (Michael) Dillehay of Waynesburg; a daughter-in-law, Donna Beck Sprinkle of Pleasant Garden, N.C.; two granddaughters, Samantha Sprinkle and Heather Sprinkle; sister, Connie Sue (Jim) Davis of Hillsboro; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Russell L. Sprinkle; son, Dr. James R. Sprinkle; two sisters, Ernestine Toner and Joanne Williams; and an infant brother, John Robert Cummings.
Services will be held at Leesburg Friends Church, 149 South St., Leesburg, Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017 at 2 p.m. with Pastor John Fitzgerald and Chaplain Jeff Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Samantha Methodist Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the church on Saturday from noon until the time of the services.
