Mary Lou Pfeffer, 81, of Hillsboro passed away Tuesday evening, May 8, 2018 at her home. 

She was born Oct. 3, 1936 in Cedar Mills, the daughter of the late Henry Stanley and Opal Ione (Rothwell) Nesbit. 

She is survived by a daughter, Sue Roush of Hillsboro; two grandsons, Donovan and Eathan Roush; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Beverly Nesbit, with whom Mary made her home, and Alice Runyon, also of Hillsboro; and three brothers, Thomas (Martha) Nesbit and John (Mildred) Nesbit, both of Hillsboro, and Kenneth Nesbit of Wilmington. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six siblings. 

The family would like to sincerely thank Vitas Hospice, Lacey Wical, Charlotte Kiser, Vicki Tener and David Hughes for their excellent care and assistance. 

A memorial service and celebration of Mary Lou’s life will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2018 at the Freedom Fellowship Church. Jerry Fyffe will officiate. The Turner & Son Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.
