Mary L. Craig Schmid, 82, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022 at home.
She was born April 4, 1939 in Dayton, the daughter of the late Marvin Craig and Alberta Knoblaugh Craig.
She was the wife of Jack Schmid. They shared 59 years of marriage together.
Mary was a graduate of North Ridge High School and was a former employee of National Bank & Trust and the Clinton Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of St. Columbkille Catholic Church. She was involved with several organizations including Homemakers and serving as a 4-H and Girl Scout Advisor. She enjoyed golf, photography, bowling and baking. Mary will be remembered for her amazing award-winning chocolate chip cookies.
Surviving are her husband, John E. Schmid of Jamestown; daughter, Stephanie (Brian) Massing; son, Steve (Mary) Schmid; daughter, Susan (Graham) Wright; grandchildren, Breanna Wilson, Chris Krietzer, Nicholas Schmid and Nathan (Alexis) Schmid; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Isaac, Zeke, Jocelyn, Teagan, Riley, Siblings, Judi, Bonni, Jane, Debbie, Don, Tim and Betty; and close sister-in-law, Betty.
Mary was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Craig; mother, Alberta Knoblaugh Craig; and brothers, Denny and Dickie.
Services will be held Feb. 14, 2022 at 11 a.m. at St. Columbkille Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Holloran officiating. Interment will follow in the Clinton County Memory Gardens, Wilmington.
Friends will be received Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022 from 1-3 p.m. at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington.
