Mary Evelyn King
Mary Evelyn King, 92, of Hillsboro, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023 at the Highland District Hospital.
She was born June 14, 1930 in Sardinia, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Freida (Busch) Martin.
After working for Rotary Forms for many years, she was a well-known hairdresser in the area. She was a member of the Allensburg Church of Christ.
Mary is survived by two daughters, Beverly Stout and Darlene Mihalik, both of Hillsboro; four grandchildren, Jennifer Mihalik of Hillsboro, Julie (Evan) Shepherd of Bethel, Joshua (Barbie) Mihalik of Plain City and Andrew (Callie) Stout of Dayton; five great-grandchildren, Laila, Maicyn, Stella and Jet Shepherd and Oliver Mihalik; a sister, Shirley Ann Berry of Blanchester; two brothers, Robert Martin of Cincinnati and Ralph Martin of Florida; special friends, Rhonda Crum and Sally Orihood; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Donald William Wesley King, on Sept. 25, 2010; her son-in-law, Herb Mihalik; and six siblings, Lloyd Martin Jr., John Martin, Kenneth Martin, Ruth Thompson, Phyllis Beucler and Franklin Martin.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 8, 2023 at noon at the Hillsboro Cemetery. Brad Clouse will officiate. There will be no public visitation. The Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro is serving the family.
