Mary Burgene Siders, 94, of Hillsboro, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2016 at the Adams County Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Feb. 27, 1922 in Hillsboro, the daughter of the late Albert Waldo Beets and Flossie Love Woolums Beets.
Mary was a graduate of the first class of the old Hillsboro High School and was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and playing bingo.
Survivors include seven children, Betty Jean (Joe) Shank of Miamisburg, Kenny Siders of New Vienna, James (Linda) Siders of Wilmington, Vicki (Mike) Couch, Sandy (John) Abell and Paul Siders, all of Hillsboro, and Robbie (Cathy) Siders of Blanchester; 24 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins, including special cousins, Thelma Robbins and Ann Creditt; and a host of friends.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded by her husband, Robert Eugene Siders and son Donald Waldo Siders.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday May 7, 2016 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Hillsboro Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of services on Saturday at the Thompson Funeral Home. Donations can be made to charity of choice.
