Mary Brown Turner, 92, of Hillsboro, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017 at St. Luke's Lutheran Community Assisted Living in North Canton.

She was born July 3, 1925 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Harry J. and Neva (Jenkins-Hall) Klepinger.

Mary was a caring person, always putting others first in her life. She had served on Hillsboro City Council and the Hillsboro City Schools Board of Education. She had attended St. Mary's Episcopal Church.

She is survived by three children, Matthew T. Brown of Canton, David C. (Kelly) Brown of Brecksville and Susan E. (Bernard) Dervieux of Palm Desert, Calif.; four grandchildren, Gavin Thomas Brown, Morgan Lorene Brown, Camille Marie Dervieux and Colin Noel Dervieux; a sister, Joan E. (Andrew J.) Chitiea of Carlsbad, Calif.; two brothers, John R. (Yvonne) Klepinger of Mesa, Ariz. and William O. (Elsa) Klepinger of Henderson, Neb.; as well as special friends Jim and BJ Gee, Clara Alfrieda Goodrich, Jennifer West, Bootsie Bursk, Susan Seipelt and Connie Fox.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clifford M. Brown, on Sept. 23, 2002; and her second husband, Fred L. Turner, on Sept. 20, 2004.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
