Martin R. Williams, Sr., 73, of Hillsboro, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Kettering Medical Center in Kettering.
He was born Aug. 8, 1946 in Peebles, the son of the late Francis Harvey.
He was a former employee of Landmark and Melvin Stone Co.
Every day, Martin would drive to Rocky Fork Lake to see his fishing buddies, Tom, Doug and Dave.
He is survived by his wife, Ella M. (Anderson) Williams, whom he married on Dec. 18, 1966; children, Rose (Todd) Keech of Hillsboro, Cindy (Elvie) Toppings of South Salem, Laurie (Lonnie) Adkins of Greenfield, Rachael (John) Kendall of Huntington and Martin (Jennifer) Williams, Jr. of Florida; grandchildren, Phillip and Taneka Hughes, Jacob and Kimmie Toppings, Katilyn Taylor, Lonnie III, Tye, Jason Adkins, Breelyn and Brooklyn Hester, Dustin Johnson, Clarissa Marie, Savannah Didas, Rodney, Brian, Brandon and Josh Cordy, Bryce and Kaydence Williams, Cierra Ellis, Alexis, Jonathan, Chelsey and Kaylee Kendall; 28 great-grandchildren; siblings, Regina, Margie, John, Faith and Harry; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Lou Cordy; one sister, Sue Clifford; and two brothers, John and George Williams.
A celebration of life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 18 at the Chapel of Hope Church, 12986 State Route 41, Greenfield, with Pastor Randy Abbott officiating.
