Maria Cioca, 79, of Wilmington, passed away Friday, Oct. 19, 2018 at her home.
She was born Oct. 10, 1939 in Voivodeni Mici, Romania, the daughter of Bitu and Silvia Rosu Bitu.
Maria attended church at St. Columbkille Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Vasile Cioca of Wilmington, whom she married Feb. 18, 1962; two sons, Vasile "Mike" (Liliana) Cioca of Cincinnati and Sorin Cioca of Wilmington; niece, Mariana Tucaliuc of Wilmington; and a brother, Vasile Bitu.
In addition to her parents, Maria was preceded in death by two brothers, Gheorghe Bitu and Ioan Bitu; and a sister, Silvia Urzich.
Services will be held at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, Oct. 24, 2018 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Michael Holloran officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery.
Friends will be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018, noon - 2 p.m.
