Margaret Loree Jones, 88, of Hillsboro, passed away Monday, Feb. 6, 2023 at the Highland District Hospital with her family by her side.
She was born June 4, 1934 in Lynchburg, the daughter of the late Clovis H. and Frances L. (Brose) Hopkins.
Loree was a member of the North Side Church of Christ.
Surviving are her four children, John (Diana) Jones, Jenelle (Jim) Buck, Julie (Neal) Barreras and Jay (Debra) Jones; 11 grandchildren, Michele (Aaron) Willey, Craig (Jenn) Jones, Justin (Terre) Todd, Sasha (J. Clark) Anderson, Evan (Britney) Buck, Noah (Stephanie) Buck, Drew (Amber) Barreras, Dawson (Jessica) Barreras, Dylan Barreras, Alyssa Jones and Owen (Jessica) Jones; nine great-grandchildren, Landen Griffith, Aaren Griffith, Ella Todd, Keegan Todd, Rowan Todd, Paisley Buck, James Anderson, Silas Barreras and Ava Barreras; one brother, Dennis (Deb) Hopkins; and a sister, Clo Davis.
In addition to her parents, Loree was preceded in death by her husband, John William "Bill" Jones, who passed away May 3, 2022; and a sister, Gay Gilliland.
Private graveside services will be held Friday, Feb. 10, 2023 at the convenience of the family at Resthaven Memory Gardens, with Pastor Guillermo Alvarez officiating.
The Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Hillsboro, is serving the family.
