Malcolm Scott Selby, 9, of Greenfield, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023 at Adena Greenfield Medical Center.
He was born June 25, 2013 in Chillicothe, the son of Dustin Selby and Kristin Price.
Malcolm was a student at Buckskin Elementary, and he enjoyed participating in activities like KAMP Dovetail, listening to music, snuggling with loved ones, spending time with family and especially being with his brothers.
Malcolm was dealt a lot of hardship in his short life, but that never stopped him from being radiant and beaming with light. He had a smile and laugh that was contagious. Even though he left this earth, he left a beacon of love and memories for everyone that knew him.
He is survived by his father, Dustin Selby of Chillicothe; mother, Kristin Price (Greg Bohannon) of Hillsboro; four brothers, Malakai, Maison, Madix and Jr.; grandparents, Don and Sandy Kelley of Hillsboro and Joe and Joanie Price of South Salem; great-grandmothers, Fran Selby of Chillicothe, Margaret Price of New Holland and Beatrice Howard of Washington C.H.; six uncles, Casey Selby of Greenfield, who was also his caregiver, Jeff (Leanna) Crago of Chillicothe, Eric (Emily) Price of Groveport, Travis (Loren) Price of Mowrystown, Kaden Price of South Salem and Randy Ruwan of Cincinnati; two aunts, Natalie “Nat-Nat” Crago (Brian Daugherty) of Bainbridge and Heather (Donovan) Bozeman of Troy; several cousins, including special cousin, Phoebe Haynie; and great-aunts and great-uncles.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother and guardian, Dianna Crago; grandfather, Paul Selby; and great-grandfather, Earl Howard.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 1 p.m. at Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor Mike Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to assist the family with expenses at Murray-Fettro Funeral Home.
