Loretta Margaret Lovell Mullins, 79, of Lynchburg, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017 at her home surrounded by Jerry, her loving husband, and family.
Loretta was born June 11, 1938 in Corbin, Ky. to the late Joseph and Alice Sharp.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Hobart F. Lovell; and brother, Harold (Dick) Sharp.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Jerry Lee Mullins; sons, Brett (Mary Beth) Lovell of Olaton, Ky. and Joseph (Annie) Lovell of Batavia; grandchildren, Jennifer (Bryan) Blackmon of Loveland, Alex Lovell of Batavia and Madison Lovell of Cheyenne, Wyo.; great-grandchildren, Christian and Mattie; stepdaughter, Kathy Mullins; stepgranddaughter, Nicole Nuxoll; stepgreat- grandson, O’rion, all of Denver, Colo.; sisters, Vada (Wayne) Barnett of Villa Hills and Jan Rose (Randy) Reed of London, Ky., brother, Jack Sharp, Corbin, Ky.; and stepmother, Beulah Sharp of Corbin, Ky.
Loretta was a 1956 graduate of Holmes High School, where she also worked in the school cafeteria for 30 years. She also worked for the IRS in Covington.
Visitation will be at Swindler and Currin Funeral Home in Covington, Ky. on Saturday, Aug. 19 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., with services immediately following at 1 p.m.
Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill, Ky.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105.
