Lonnette P. Hamilton

Lonnette P. Hamilton, 75, of Hillsboro, passed away peacefully Monday, March 27, 2023.
 
Lonnette was born in 1947 in Berrysville.

Lonnette was truthful, generous and the cornerstone of her family. She believed in maintaining strong family traditions and united all of her family in the love of her vast embrace. She anchored her family, and she always stayed steadfast in her trust in the Lord. She will be missed every day.

Lonnette retired from Hillsboro High School and was a lifelong member of the Prospect United Methodist Church and the Prospect WSCS. Her faith in her Heavenly Father was strong and unwavering.

Lonnette is survived by her husband of 45 years, Don Hamilton; daughters, Natalie (Will Shaw) Hamilton of Hillsboro and Allison (Jason) Bentley of Portsmouth; grandchildren, Wells and Hayden Shaw and Ivan and Isaac Bentley; brother, Jim (Dinah) Phillips of Hillsboro; sister, Yolanda Williamson of Hillsboro; and several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Preceding her in death were her loving parents, Raymond and Martha (Cox) Phillips.

Friends may call Thursday, March 30, 2023  from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
