Linda Kay McMullen, 82, of Union Township, passed away Sunday, Oct. 13, 2024.

She was born July 13, 1942 in New Vienna to the late Paul and Dorothy (née Ward) Smithson.

Linda was a beacon of warmth and kindness to all who knew her. She was always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a comforting word to those in need. Her loving and generous spirit shines through in her selfless acts of care and nurturing of her family, which was also her priority. In her free time, Linda found joy in cooking delightful meals, getting lost in the pages of a good book or piecing together puzzles. Each hobby reflected her nurturing nature, patience and devotion.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Robert C. McMullen; children, Robin T. (Karla) McMullen, Joseph M. (Sheila) McMullen and Scott McMullen; grandchildren, Ryan (Jelicia) McMullen, Melissa McMullen and Kirstyn (Josh) Cooper; great-grandchildren, Eli, Bryce, Ava, Mia, Jackson and Reyna; and sister, Judy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jane; aunts, Sarah Laycock and Dolly Durham; and parents-in-law, Robert C. and Sara McMullen.
