Linda Ellen (Howard) Griffith, 70, of Hillsboro, passed away March 9, 2018.
She was born Sept. 18, 1947 and lived all her life in Hillsboro.
Linda was an avid reader and lover of murder mysteries. Her grandchildren and great-nieces and nephews were the lights of her life. For many years, she was an active member of Highland County 4-H, Girl Scouts and Christian Women’s Club. She will be remembered for her generosity, love, loyalty and intelligence.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ralph Griffith; daughter, Linsey (Kenneth Doughman) Griffith; grandchildren, Tesla and Finnegan Doughman; sisters, Joyce Fridley and Diana (Gary) Barnett; nieces, Alice (Russell) Hatter, and Linda Amber (Amy) Fridley; nephews, Beecher Barnett and Brandon (Erik Martin) Barnett; and many beloved great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Beecher Wade and Alice Jane (Throckmorten) Howard; and her sister, Janet (Howard) Powell.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Hillsboro Cemetery.
Friends may call from noon until time of service on Wednesday at the Thompson Funeral Home.
