Linda E. Easter, 78, of Lynchburg, passed away Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022 at her home with her family by her side.
She was born Jan. 19, 1943, in Blanchester, the daughter of the late Forest and Reba (Kidd) Newman.
She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Lynchburg. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, puzzles, canning, grandkids spending the night, baking bread and baking cookies at Christmas.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn, whom she married Oct. 17, 1982; three sons, Norman (Brenda) Allen of Wilmington, Forest (Teresa) Allen of Lynchburg and Walter (Tammy) Allen of Martinsville; grandchildren, Brittini Wisecup, Adam Allen, Ethan Allen, Bronson Allen, Craig Allen, Jaysen Allen, Elyse Fife, Lacie Whitley and Autumn McLaughlin; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Brenda (Jim) Maxie of Lake Havasu, Ariz., Mike (Connie) Newman of Martinsville and Richard (Rita) Newman of Buford; and several nieces and nephews. Linda will be missed by many, for a lot of years.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two grandsons, Evan and Jacob Allen.
Funeral service will be Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022 at 1 p.m. at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg with Pastor Robert Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Troutwine Cemetery. Family will receive friends Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home.
