Letitia Anne Campbell, 81, of Leesburg, passed away peacefully surrounded by family Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at the Valley View Care Center in Frankfort.  

She was born July 12, 1940 in Williamsburg, the daughter of the late Walter L. and Alice Cathryn (Stockton) Cowdrey.

She graduated from Whiteoak High School and then began working as a bookkeeper at Farm Bureau. Less than a year after meeting on a blind date, she married Robert S. Campbell on March 4, 1962 and then spent the next 60 years as his devoted wife and farming business partner.  

She was a devoted member of the Hardin's Creek Friends Church, playing piano, teaching Sunday School, serving as treasurer and volunteering in any way needed to help the church reach those in the surrounding community. She also worked at Union Stockyards and Fairfield Schools. 

She was the loving mom to five children, Chris (Michelle) Campbell of New Vienna, Susan (Bryon) Morris of Leesburg, Lori (Brad) McKamey of Arlington and Craig (Misty) Campbell and Heidi (Rusty) Friend, both of Leesburg; grandma to 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; aunt to several nieces and nephews; and niece to Maxine, who was a steadfast companion through all of life’s transitions.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl Cowdrey, Dan Cowdrey and Richard Cowdrey.  

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 5-8 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Hardin’s Creek Friends Church. Burial will follow in the Hardin’s Creek Cemetery at Bridges.  

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hardin’s Creek Friends Church, 10494 Hardin’s Creek Road, Leesburg, Ohio 45135.  

The family would like to thank the staff at Valley View, Hospice of Hope and special caregivers Alexis and Kassie for helping them through this journey.
