Leanne Comberger, 64, of Wilmington, passed away Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021 at Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington.

She was born Oct. 3, 1956 in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Gene and Ruth (Newman) Moore.

She married Robert Gene Comberger, who passed away on July 25, 2011.

A 1974 Wilmington High School graduate, Leanne worked as the head dispatcher for City of Wilmington Transit System. She was a member of the Hillsboro Church of God.

Surviving are her son, Brandon Hill of Wilmington; three grandchildren, Kyle, Cloie and Bradley; three sisters, Pam Moore of Cynthiana, Brenda (Tony) Ross, Chillicothe and Jenny Moore of Wilmington; two brothers, Todd (Paige) Moore of New Vienna and Jeff Moore of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18 at the Hillsboro Church of God, 5760 U.S. 62, Hillsboro, with Pastor John Coyle officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Sept. 18 at the church. After the services, friends are invited to the church fellowship hall for a time of remembering and a meal with refreshments.

The Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington has been entrusted with the arrangements. Contributions in Leanne's memory may be made to the Hillsboro Church of God.
