Larry Joe Vance, 68, of Hillsboro, passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 9, 2021 at his home.
He was born Feb. 12, 1953 in Highland County, the son of the late William L. and Betty Marie Yankey Vance.
He was a member of the Hillsboro Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1161, a graduate of Hillsboro High School Class of 1971, and retired from Airborne Express Heavy Maintenance Department after 25 years of service.
Surviving is his son and daughter-in-law, Chad (Kim) Vance; two granddaughters, Hailey Vance and Harley Vance; three sisters, Linda Sprinkle, Bonnie (Terry) Davis and Cindy (Kevin) Gibson; a brother, Jack (Tammy) Vance; a dear friend, Gladys Watson (wife of the late Charlie Watson); many cousins; and special nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Ralph L. and Debbie Vance; and a brother-in-law, Larry E. Sprinkle.
Fraternal Order of Eagles services will be held at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home in Hillsboro at noon Thursday, July 15 immediately followed by funeral services with Matt Patmann officiating.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m.-noon Thursday, July 15 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions in Larry's memory may be made to the Whiteoak High School Athletic Association.
