Kenneth J. Surface, 80, of Wilmington, passed away Friday, April 23, 2021 at Optimized Senior Living in Lebanon.
He was born Sept. 5, 1940 in Montgomery County, the son of the late Ira E. Surface Sr. and Glenna I. Shuey Surface.
Kenny was a member of Clinton County Senior Center, was a retired Teamsters truck driver and had graduated from Harveysburg High School Class of 1958. Kenny enjoyed the outdoors, especially playing golf, boating and camping.
Survivors include his three stepchildren, Connie (Steve Kunert) Bashore of Wilmington, Dan (Nikki) Bashore of Galena and Brian Bashore of Gahanna; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Thomas W. Surface of Bonne, N.C.; 12 nieces and nephews; and an uncle, Kenneth Kempton of West Carrollton.
In addition to his parents, Kenny was preceded in death by his wife, Janet R. Surface, who died Jan. 12, 2020; a sister, Phyllis A. Surface; and four brothers, Ira E. Surface, Jr., Robert E. Surface, Richard A. Surface and Donnie L. Surface.
Services will be held at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Larry Speelman officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington.
Friends will be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, on Saturday, May 1, 2021 from noon - 1 p.m.
