Kathryn Ann Runk, a 84, of Lynchburg, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2021 at The Laurels of Hillsboro.

She was born Feb. 23, 1937 in Lynchburg, the daughter of the late Leroy Justin and Mary Easter (Gibler) Copeland.

She was a member of Danville Church of Christ, where she was also the pianist. She was a seamstress for many years, having helped the local 4-H Clubs and organizations with their uniforms and several local people. Kathy loved to garden and spend time with her family.

Surviving are her beloved husband, James Edward "Jim" Runk of Lynchburg whom she married June 2, 1956; a daughter, Dyanna Charlene (Ted) Foster of Lynchburg; and son- Tony Runk of Lynchburg; grandchildren, Timothy (Megan) Foster of Jackson, Mich., Stephanie Foster of Lynchburg, Kalen (Amy) Foster of Goshen, Samantha (Ramon) Ahrman of Xenia and Jay (Honey) Runk of Hillsboro; great-grandchildren, Derek Foster, Grant Foster, Breyanna Hutchinson, Bethaney Hutchinson, Nathan Foster, Kevin Foster, Allison Foster, Connor Ahrman, Lily Ahrman and Anderson Runk; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 13 at the Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, 138 East Main Street, Hillsboro, with Pastor Bob Wickline officiating. Interment will follow in the Hightop Cemetery in Samantha. Friends will be received from noon-1 p.m. Saturday, March 13 at the funeral home.
