Kathleen M. Burnett, 89, of Hillsboro, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro.
Kathleen was born in Zanesville on July 2, 1926, the daughter of Joseph H. and Faye E. (Litteral) Jordan.
Kathleen was a member of the Hillsboro Freewill Baptist Church. She also managed Lords Department Store, had worked at Hercules Pants Factory and Robertshaw Controls and had retired from Rick’s Hometown TV and Appliance.
Kathleen is survived by two sons, Michael Kisling of Hillsboro and Rick (Julie) Kisling of Hillsboro; two daughters, Beverly (Pete) Scott of Waynesville and Debbie Griffith of Hillsboro; one daughter-in-law, Glendon Hopkins of Waverly; one brother, Bill (Ada) Jordan of Bainbridge; 14 grandchildren, Larry Carson (Tammy) Hopkins, Angie (Jack) Sawyer, Michelle (Darryl) Dotson, Kenny Kisling, Brian (Katie) Kisling, Mandy (Clint) Bishop, Mitzi (Tyler) Puckett, Kyle (Jessica) Kisling, Brett Kisling, Robin Kisling, Damon (Amy) Roland, Paul “Bub” Griffith, Alyssa Jones and Owen Jones; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Larry Hopkins; a daughter-in-law, Lisa Kisling; two sisters Mary Tong and Helen Jordan; two brothers, Robert Jordan and Richard “Boke” Jordan; one granddaughter, Lisa Hill; and one great-grandson Ethan Sawyer.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2016 at the Thompson Funeral Home, with Rev. Richard Burns officiating. Burial will follow at Marshall Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 5-8 p.m.
