Kathleen “Kitty” Johnson Werner, 86, of Wilmington, passed away Sunday, Aug. 28, 2022 at the Kettering Medical Center.
She was born July 31, 1936 in London, Ky., the daughter of the late Walter C. and Lola (White) Johnson.
Kitty retired as a teacher for Clinton-Massie Schools and was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Wilmington, Daughters of the American Revolution, Yani Club, The English Club, Harveysburg Book Club, Clintonaires, Miami Chapter 107 Order of the Eastern Star-Waynesville, Ohio and Retired Teachers Association and was an Outstanding Woman of Clinton County.
Surviving are her daughter, Susan K. (Raymond D.) Werner Huck of Kettering; and granddaughter, Kathleen Elizabeth Huck of Kettering.
In addition to her parents, Kitty was preceded in death by her husband, Burton August Werner.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 2, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington with Pastor James Graham officiating. Interment will follow in the Clarksville Cemetery.
Friends will be received Thursday, Sept. 1 from 5-7 p.m. at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, with the Order of the Eastern Star service being held.
