Kamala Dawn 'Kami' Knisley, 40, of Mt. Orab, passed away April 1, 2022 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
She was born June 22, 1981 to Nina Elliott and Rick Knisley of Peebles.
Kami is survived by her parents; her pride and joy her son, Justin Dobbins of Peebles; fiancé and love of her life, Roger McClain of Mt. Orab; two stepsons, Logan and Ryan McClain of Mt. Orab; brothers, Richard "Ritchie" (Donna) Knisley of Latham, and Shane Elliott and Chad Elliott of Hillsboro.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles and Mary Alice Elliott and Clarence and Jessie Knisley; and mother-in-law to be, Diane McClain.
Kami was a 1999 graduate of Western High School, where she was voted the "class clown" by her peers. Kami always had a way to make people laugh. Her sense of humor, love of salt and vinegar chips, and pickle juice will forever be etched in the hearts and minds of all who knew her. A loyal friend, Bengals fan, loving fiancé, mother and daughter, gone too soon.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 7 at the Smith-Moore-Ebright Funeral Home in Bainbridge. Following the service, Kami will be laid to rest in the Lapperell Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
