June P. Duncan, 88, of Lynchburg passed away Sunday, Aug. 13, 2017 at her home.

She was born the daughter of the late Frank and Lala (Hawk) Kier on Oct. 8, 1928.

June worked as a cook for Lynchburg-Clay schools for 30 years and was a faithful member of the Allensburg Church of Christ.

She is survived by her son, Ron (Connie) Duncan of New Vienna; three granddaughters, Casey Duncan, Blake (Bobby) Goldie and Veronica (Scott) Murphy; two stepgrandchildren, Timothy (Karen) Croghan and Tausha (Steve) Young; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Duncan; and brother, Kenneth Kier.

Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Services will follow visitation at 3 p.m. Wednesday. Bob Stevens will officiate.

Burial will follow in Troutwine Cemetery.

Memorial donations can be made in June’s memory to the Allensburg Church of Christ, 7105 Abernathy Road, Lynchburg 45142 or Hospice of Hope, 909 Kenton Station Drive, Maysville, Ky. 41056.
