Joy Annette Gray, 58, of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.
She was born March 29, 1963 in Greenfield, the daughter of Samuel E. and Geraldine Rose (Miller) Soales.
Joy was a 1982 graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School and a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Russell M. Gray, whom she married on May 18, 1996; two sons, Jacob (Jessica) Soales of Chillicothe and Titan Gray of Greenfield; one granddaughter, Morgan Gray; one sister, Pam Howland of Greenfield; one brother, Melvin “Buck” (Billie) Soales of Rainsboro; numerous nieces and nephews, including Alicia (Charles) Peacock; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, including Whitney Darlington and Brandon Darlington (Victoria Certain); and numerous great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, including Gracelynn, Nikolai, Aliyah and Brandon Jr.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Wanda Estle, Shirley Miller, Sheila Soales and Linda Kinnison; one brother, Kenny Soales; and both parents.
Memorial service will be Saturday, Jan. 22 at 2 p.m. at the Emmanuel Christian Church, 12281 Cameron Drive, Greenfield.
Visitation will be Saturday from 1-2 p.m. at the church.
The Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield is serving the family.
