Josephine M. Barrett, 53, of Hillsboro, passed away peacefully Friday, Oct. 9, 2020 in her home.
She was born July 8, 1967 in Pago Pago, American Samoa, the daughter of Rudy and Fiafia (Te’o) Thomsen.
Josephine had a successful and lengthy career as a sales and marketing associate for the hotel industry.
Josephine is survived by her husband, Todd Barrett, whom she married Dec. 5, 1987; two daughters, Leilani (Sean) Walsh of Lynchburg, Va. and Lehua (Joshua) Cooke of Hillsboro; two grandchildren, Haydin Cooke and Damien Walsh; three brothers, John Vila “Falepopo” Tufele, Shawn Anthony Thomsen and Rudy Boy Thomsen, Jr.; two sisters, Clara “Kalala” Tufele and Tanyia Natashia Etimani; her parents, Rudy and Fiafia Thomsen; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 10-11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hillsboro. Father Mike Paraniuk will be the celebrant.
