John W. Goldsberry, 68, of Hillsboro, passed away Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016 at the U.C. Medical Center in Cincinnati.

John was born Feb. 22, 1948 in Cincinnati, the son of the late James R. and Estellene (Brooks) Goldsberry, Sr.

John was a graduate of Milford High School, attended college and received his associate's degree in business. He retired from the U.S. Air Force, where he served during the Vietnam War. He had a love for kids, coaching baseball in the SWOL league. He was a member of the Farm Bureau and had a love for the outdoors and his farm.

He was united in married Dec. 2, 1967 to Donna (Ramsey) Goldsberry, who survives. He is also survived by one son and daughter-in-law, John and Trish Goldsberry of Vevay, Ind.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Russell Zambo of Fairfield and Valerie and Jeff Meyer of Hillsboro; six grandchildren, Justin and Jeremy Zambo, Ashley and Seth Meyer and J.W. and Levi Goldsberry; one brother, James Richard Goldsberry, Jr. of Graisonville, Md.; and one sister, Barbara Stewart of Cincinnati.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 23 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow Graceland Memorial Gardens in Milford, with military rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard. Friends may call Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
