John Richard Setty, 70, of Berrysville, passed away Sunday, Jan. 24, 2021 at the Salyer's Home in Hillsboro.
He was born Oct. 12, 1950 in Hillsboro, the son of the late John Franklin Setty and Helen Virginia West Setty.
He was a graduate of Hillsboro High School in the class of 1969. He worked for and retired from the City of Hillsboro, and loved going to car shows and showing off his 1972 Plymouth Duster.
Surviving are his wife, Bonnie Setty, whom he married July 6, 1973; a daughter, Tracy Setty of Tampa, Fla.; a son, Brian (Wendy) Setty of Hillsboro; three grandchildren, Alexa Watson, Jolee Setty and Jessa Setty; and a sister, Virginia Lynn "Ginny" (Richard) Fogt.
Services will be held at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, with the Rev. Tom Zile officiating. Interment will follow in the Prospect Cemetery.
Friends will be received at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Hillsboro, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30. Because of COVID-19, masks are required.
