John “Mike” Michael Mayhugh, 68, of Hillsboro, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018 at his residence with his family and friends by his side.
He was born on Dec. 27, 1949 in Hillsboro, the son of John Delmar Mayhugh and Dolores Eileen (Rhodes) Mayhugh.
Mike worked in real estate in Hillsboro, at the Hillsboro Press Gazette, and he was also the owner of Dairy Queen in Lebanon, Ohio for over 20 years.
He was a member of the Hillsboro Jaycees.
Mike is survived by two children, Trevor Mayhugh of Mt. Orab and Lacy Mayhugh of Lebanon; his mother, Dolores (Rhodes) Mayhugh of Hillsboro; a brother, Thomas Mayhugh of Hillsboro; a sister-in-law, Deidra J. Martin of Mt. Orab; two special loved ones, Cindy Wilder and Sheila Young; an uncle, Dwight Hedrick; seven cousins, Carol Hedrick Laroche, Rick Hedrick, Pam Hedrick Anders, Rob Hedrick, Tim Rhodes, John Robert Rhodes and Brenda Rhodes; and numerous aunts, uncles and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Delmar Mayhugh; his wife, Virginia Lee Brooks; and his aunt, Patty Hedrick.
Visitation will be noon-2 p.m. Friday, May 11 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. following visitation on Friday, May 11 at the funeral home. Burial will follow services in the New Market Baptist Cemetery.
