John-Mark Ivan Myers

John-Mark Ivan Myers, 26, of Martinsville, passed away Monday, Aug. 3, 2015 near Lynchburg.
He was born June 24, 1989 in Wilmington, the son of Matthew Ivan and Robin Michele (Randall) Myers of Martinsville.
He was a member of the Martinsville Church of Christ.
Mr. Myers was continuing to serve his country in the United States Army Reserve. His service time included combat during an active duty deployment to Afghanistan. He was a very loyal and devoted son, brother, friend, fiancé, father and brother in arms.
Those endeared to him knew him by many names: Jimmy, John Paul, Jim Bob, John-Marky and to his beloved Kendra, “Cat.”
He was very loved by many and will be very dearly missed.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fianceé, Felicia Mullins; and their child on-the-way, Zoey Michele Myers; a daughter, Kendra Danielle Mullins; a brother, Christian Matthew Myers of Martinsville; as well as his step-grandfather, Walter (Pete) Cochran of Martinsville; and his paternal grandmother, Evelyn Myers Cochran, who passed away a few hours after him.
He was preceded in death by his adopted sister, Esperancia Myers; his paternal grandfather, Ivan Chester Myers; and his maternal grandparents, Robert Byron I and Louanna Randall.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8 at the Hillsboro Church of Christ. Jim Rankin and Jim Bush will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow at the Martinsville I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Friends may make donations to the Wounded Warrior Project in his honor. This would be greatly appreciated as he took very seriously his commitment to his brothers in arms. Any other gifts or donations for the family may be left at the church or sent to the family at 810 Patch Road Martinsville, Ohio 45146.
