Joanne Stodgel, 72, of Hillsboro died Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015 at her home.

She was born Aug. 17, 1943 near New Vienna, the daughter of the late Mary Robinson.

Mrs. Stodgel was a graduate of New Vienna High School and was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, William Stodgel, whom she married on Jan. 10, 1964; seven children, Lynnette Nichols of Washington C.H., Kimberly Stodgel Iqbal of Columbus, Cherie (Richard) Burns of Hillsboro, Orlana Stodgel of Washington C.H., William Stodgel of Hillsboro, Glenn Peacock of New Vienna, April Stodgel of Hillsboro, 19 grandchildren, Richard Burns Jr., Erica and Deanna Burns, Zana Stodgel, Christopher and Ryan Burns, Alexis and Jevin Stodgel, Christian Clark, Jamie Treadway, Samantha and Draven Stodgel, Marcella Henry, Trinity and Braxton Stodgel, Brittany, Brook, Emily and Glenn Peacock and 20 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Pastor Timothy L. White of the First Church of God, Washington C.H. will officiate. Friends may call on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
