Jeromy Lee Applegate, 43, passed away unexpectedly Nov. 29, 2021 at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, Calif.
He was born Aug. 20, 1978, in Fayette County, the son of Elmer L. Applegate Jr. and Michele (Murray) Applegate.
He attended McClain High School and Dayton Barber College.
Jeromy was a comedian and he loved to make people laugh, especially doing his "Hank Hill" impersonation. He loved reading books and learning about different breeds of dogs. He loved animals, listening to music, spending time with his family and loved the water and the mountains.
In addition to his parents, surviving are his siblings, Michele (David) Richardson of New Carlisle; Nathan Applegate of North Hampton, Joshua (Misty) Obetz Murray and Chance Applegate of Jamestown; nieces, Brittany (Shianne) Richardson, Chelsie and Alivia; a nephew, Braylon Murray; special friend, Lisa Walker and their beloved dog, Honcho; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased in death by his maternal grandmother, Hattie Compher; paternal grandparents, Elmer Applegate Sr. and Ruth Applegate; an uncle, Bill Murray; and aunts, Erin Compher and Deidre Compher.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 11 at the Paint Creek dam shelter house No. 2. Special family friend Kathy Yoakum will be presiding.
