Jean B. Franklin

Jean B. Franklin, 80, of Hillsboro died Friday, Feb. 13, 2015 at Heartland of Hillsboro.
She was born Oct. 3, 1934 in Monticello, Ind., the daughter of the late Leslie and Oleta (Bell) Wright.
Mrs. Franklin had worked as a physical therapist assistant at St. Francis Hospital in Blue Island, Ill. for 21 years until her retirement in 1990.
She is survived by two children, Denise (Bruno) Battistin of Hillsboro and Scott (Susan Stinnett) Franklin of Georgetown, Ky.; four grandchildren, Bruno (Kelly) Battistin III of Chillicothe, Andrea Jean (Adam) Ooten of Kettering, Mallory (Aaron) Current and Allison Franklin of Georgetown, Ky.; two great-grandchildren, Adalynn Ooten and Scotty Current; and two sisters, Sue Ann (Deano) Anderson and Mandy Parsley of Monticello, Ind.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stewart Franklin, in 1987; one brother, Lowell Wright; and one sister, Geraldine Conrad.
Mrs. Franklin had requested that at her death her body be cremated with the burial of cremains to be next to her husband in the Cedar Park Cemetery in Calumet Park, Ill. There will be no services held locally.
The Turner & Son Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.
