Jay Fender Ostermeier

Jay Fender Ostermeier, 83, passed away at Hospice in Cincinnati on Monday, Aug. 24, 2015.
Mrs. Ostermeier, daughter of Wendell and Verneasa Fender, spent her childhood in Norwood and Mowrystown, graduated from Buford High School and married Leonard Ostermeier on Jan. 13, 1951. They owned Miralake Hampshire Farm in Midland for many years. In 1972, they moved to Blanchester and were brokers at their branch office of Wendell Fender Real Estate. Mrs. Ostermeier also served on the Board of Directors for National Bank and Trust. The Ostermeiers were active in supporting Blanchester athletics and other community events.
The wife of Leonard Ostermeier for 64 years, she is also survived by Melanie Staley; Jayme Staley; Jill, Chloe and Eric Hanson; Maralee Pope,; Julianne and Tom Moser; Mindy and Brad Barber; Lauren Moser; Christy, John, Christopher and Hailee Cox; William Jr. and Ruby Ostermeier; David and Eileen Ostermeier; Charles Ostermeier; and Don and Ann Fender.
A graveside service for the immediate family will be held at their convenience at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Blue Ash.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers will be gratefully accepted by the Blanchester High School Athletics Department, c/o Bryan Pennix, Athletic Director, 953 Cherry Street, Blanchester, Ohio 45107.
