Janice “Jan” Knisley, 66, of the Rocky Fork Lake area in Highland County, passed away Sunday, Oct. 31, 2021, at her home.
She suffered a lifetime of depression.
She retired from Ohio Department of Transportation in Hillsboro
She was born Feb. 28, 1955, in Pike County, the daughter of Harold “Flick” and Inis (Shoemaker) Knisley.
She is survived by her son, Saudji (Tami) Darbyshire of Hillsboro; her partner, Michael Norman of Hillsboro; grandchildren, Seth (Alexandra) Darbyshire of California, Tyler Darbyshire (Kylie Shadley) of Fairborn, Aleah Darbyshire of Hillsboro and Zoe Miles of Hillsboro; great-grandchildren, Cairo Darbyshire and Myla Anderson; three sisters, including special sister, Karen Knisley of Hillsboro, Sheila (Gary) Jordan of Bainbridge and Judy Thompson of Pike County; two brothers, Terry (Barb) Knisley and Lyle Kirk Knisley of Pike County; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her nephew, Brian Bellow; brother, Lloyd “Jack” Knisley; three infant siblings; and both parents.
Cremation will take place and there will not be a service observed.
