Janet May Eubanks Mitchener, 83, of Wilmington, passed away Saturday evening, Feb. 17, 2018 at the Elm Croft Nursing Home in Xenia.
Janet was born in Highland County, the daughter of the late James Fay and Wilma (Ludwick) Eubanks. She arrived Nov. 26, 1934 on her daddy's 30th birthday, the greatest gift he ever received.
She was a member of Chester Friends Meeting, Wilmington.
Janet is survived by her husband of 45 years, Richard K. Mitchener, of Wilmington. She is also survived by her three daughters, Denece (Bill) Ritchie of Jamestown, Shelly (Ben) Fast of Wilmington and Diane (Dante) Marshall of Cedarville; children Lana Mitchener of Bowersville, Anita (Larry) Linne of Norfolk, Va., Marty (Crystal) Mitchener of Wilmington and Cindy Stroup of Washington Court House; sister, Jody (Elbert) Grabill of Miamisburg; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her grandson, Jeff Carter; and in-laws, Horace and Mildred Mitchener.
The family would especially like to thank Elmcroft of Xenia and Hospice of Miami Valley for their wonderful care of Janet.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington with Pastors Mike and Nancy McCormick officiating. Interment will follow in the New Burlington Cemetery in New Burlington, Ohio.
Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home.
