Janet Marie Larimer, 89, of Hillsboro, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Carriage Court in Washington Court House.
She was born Oct. 26, 1931 in Harrison County, W.Va. She was the daughter of Samuel Geso and Mary (Romano) Geso Secret.
She was a homemaker and activities director at Oakland Nursing Home, now The Laurels of Hillsboro. She was an avid bridge player and loved to spend time with her family and travel. She and her husband were fortunate enough to spend a decade of winters at their home in Florida. She was a graduate of Roosevelt Wilson High School in Clarksburg, W.Va.
She is survived by her children, David (Linda) Larimer of Ballwin, Mo., Gary (Debi) Larimer of Louisville, Ky. and Cathy (Ben) Teeters of Hillsboro; three grandchildren, Mary Jo Larimer of Louisville, Ky., Ross Larimer of Brentwood, Mo. and Andrea Larimer of Leawood, Kan.; three step-grandchildren, Travis (Haley) Teeters of Leesburg, Melissa (Tony) Alfano of Waxhaw, N.C. and Nathan (Lani) Teeters of Leesburg; and six step-great-grandchildren, Reese, Avery and Landry Teeters of Leesburg, Vincent and Alissa Alfano of Waxhaw, N.C. and Paige Teeters of Leesburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, David L. Larimer, on March 6, 2010.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 7 from 5-7 p.m.at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Services and burial will follow at the convenience of the family in Bridgeport, W.Va.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 6500 Busch Blvd., Columbus, Ohio 43229, ATTN: Bereavement.
