Janet Arlene Tolle, 83, of New Vienna, passed away Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021 at home.
She was born April 24, 1938, the daughter of the late Howard and Mabel (Winkle) Euverard.
Arlene worked by the side of her husband, Gary, raising their daughters and helping with the family businesses, Tolle Auto and Camper and Highland Trading Company. She also worked for Beery Insurance Company in Hillsboro. She was a devoted member of Mt. Olive Church of Christ and the Mt. Olive Ladies Aid. She was also a member of The Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Gary Tolle; daughters, Debbie (Doug) Tolle of Hillsboro, Cindy (Andy) Paukner of New Vienna and Lisa (Tom) Archibald of Hillsboro; four grandchildren, Joshua Daye of Phoenix, Ariz., Jamie (Scott) Barrett of Venice, Fla., Emily Archibald of Ravenna and Rachael Archibald of Cincinnati; two great-grandchildren, Aiden Barrett and Teagan Barrett; sisters-in-law, Carol (Roy) Butler and Janet Moore; nephews, Patrick McCarthy and Jim Butler; niece, Vickie Lynn Butler; and a special cousin, Bev (Tom) Walker.
In addition to her parents, Arlene was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Jean McCarthy; and brothers-in-law, Danny McCarthy and Charles Moore.
Services will be held Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Olive Church of Christ with Dr. T. Ronald Sams and Kenneth Zugg officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Olive Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the church Friday, Aug. 20, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. with Eastern Star services at 8 p.m.
